Funahiro brand smoothing planes. Mr. Funahiro is the 3rd generation plane maker in Yoita-city, Niigata Pref. His plane blade is made with super blue
steel forged welded to wrough iron. This super blue steel is produced by vacuum treatment of the molten steel. This blade lasts a very long time,
and proper sharpening can produce a super razor-sharp edge. Once you try this plane, you will find that it is the one that you have been looking
for!. Blades are set at 41 degrees; the Godaisan is available with 45 degree angle too. The Dai (block) is made by "Kokichiya" from very beautiful
