HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

1) On our website, www.hidatool.com

Please visit the shopping page and select items you wish to purchase. When finished, move the cursor to the shopping cart and click the “CHECKOUT” button and follow the instructions.

2) By phone

Please call our customer service at 510-524-3700 or toll free # 1-800-443-5512 from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (PST), Monday – Saturday. We will do our best to assist you with any questions you may have.  

3) In store

 You can visit our store located in Berkeley, California.

WILL YOU SHIP MY ORDER TO ANOTHER COUNTRY?

Yes, but you can only place an international order by calling us over the phone or sending request for a quote with the list of items to our e-mail which is hidatool@hidatool.com

Our online store is designed to only accept orders shipped within the United States.

Once we receive a request for a quote we will calculate the shipping cost and e-mail back the options available. We will only use United States Postal Service as the carrier and only accept PayPal (in US Dollars) as the method of payment for all international orders. You will be responsible for any custom fees applied to the package.

 

HOW MUCH IS THE SHIPPING & HANDLING FEE FOR ORDERS SHIPPED WITHIN THE CONTIGUOUS 48 STATES?

The shipping & handling fees are calculated according to the subtotal of the order:

 

Subtotal less than $24.99                         S&H: $10.00

Subtotal between $25.00 to $99.99       S&H: $12.00

Subtotal between $100.00 to $199.99   S&H: $14.00

Subtotal between $200.00 to $299.99   S&H: $16.00

Subtotal above $300.00                            Free S&H

 

We use UPS ground and USPS Priority Mail to ship orders unless you specify otherwise (such as faster services offered by UPS and USPS) at the time of purchase.

Shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico & other U.S. Territories will be shipped out via United States Postal Service and the shipping cost will vary depending on the destination. 

 

WHAT IS OVERSIZE SHIPPING?

For products that the shipping carrier classes as oversize, their additional shipping charge will be added to our basic charge. Our service representatives will be contacting you to confirm the shipping cost and payment information in that case.

 

HOW SOON WILL MY ORDER BE PROCESSED?

Unless the ordered item is out of stock or there is an issue with the payment, an internet order will generally be processed and shipped out on the same day the order is placed. (If an order is placed on Saturday or Sunday, it will be processed on Monday.) We will make every effort to quickly process your online orders but please understand that we cannot guarantee the delivery date.

 

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES TO MY ONLINE ORDER?

Please call us at 1-800-443-5512 or e-mail us at hidatool@hidatool.com to notify us that you need to make changes to your order. The online order can be modified only if we are notified before 4:00 p.m. (PST) on the same day the order was placed.

 

WHAT IF I WANT THE ORDER SHIPPED BY A CERTAIN DATE?

Please call us at 1-800-443-5512 or e-mail us at hidatool@hidatool.com to notify us that the order is time-sensitive and needs to be delivered by a certain date. We will calculate the shipping time and cost for special shipping services and will contact you to confirm the options available. This information must also reach us before 4:00 p.m. (PST) on the day the order was placed.

 

WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We will accept the return of our products if and only if they are UNUSED and IN THEIR ORIGINAL PACKAGE AND CONDITION, along with the ORIGINAL INVOICE / RECEIPT either for a store credit or a refund of the purchase price (the shipping fee will not be refunded for items that were ordered online).

To mail back an item, please make sure to include a note explaining the reason for the exchange or return, along with a copy of the invoice / receipt and ship to:

You are responsible for the cost of shipping the product back to us.

 

WHERE DO I TAKE A TOOL IF IT NEEDS MAINTENANCE OR SHARPENING?

Hida Tool offers repair, sharpening and maintenance service for a certain fee for gardening tools, woodworking tools and cooking knives. We generally stock all spare parts for the products we carry so please call or e-mail us with any questions regarding the repair and the cost and time. 

 

DO YOU OFFER WHOLESALE?

Yes. If you are interested in opening a wholesale account with us, please click on the “wholesale customers” section below (under the information section), fill out the application form, and e-mail it to us.
